Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport has launched a portal for investing in government land and existing buildings, bringing the process onto TAMM.

Announced at LIVEX on 29 September, the service covers finding opportunities, expressing interest, bidding and the steps through to award and contracting. Investors can examine location information, including nearby facilities and transport connections.

The contract matters as much as the location

The available structures include Musataha agreements and leases. This is not an announcement that government assets are being offered universally as freehold purchases.

For a business or developer, the useful starting point is the individual opportunity: permitted use, contract duration, development obligations and the cost of meeting them. A central portal makes opportunities easier to find; the terms still determine whether a site suits the intended business.
