Etihad Rail’s Dubai–Abu Dhabi passenger service began on 30 September, adding a rail option for people travelling between the two cities. Gulf News reported the first departure from Dubai’s Al Yalayis Station at 6.14am and the subsequent return journey.
The service connects Al Yalayis with Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi. The Dubai station’s connection to the Metro at Jumeirah Golf Estates gives passengers an alternative to driving to the terminal.
