KONE announced on 1 October that it will supply 59 lifts and 15 escalators for Burj Azizi in Dubai. The order was booked in the third quarter of 2026.
The planned 725-metre tower includes a lift designed to travel 631.5 metres in a single journey. Equipment speeds will reach up to 10 metres per second, according to the supplier. Gardinia Building Contracting is the main contractor and AE7 the lead consultant.
Beyond the headline height
For buyers following the project, the appointment is a procurement update rather than a handover announcement. Vertical transport deserves attention in a tower combining homes, hospitality and visitor attractions: the eventual experience will depend on lift allocation, access arrangements and maintenance as well as speed.
